John Sims found something strange in his garden, and soon after, word of his finding quickly spread throughout the internet. He discovered that some of the soil was a little deeper as he was taking care of the garden.
John was very curious about this and decided to investigate. To his amazement, he discovered that it was a secret door. He had the feeling upon opening the door that it was considerably larger than what the door allowed on, like an underground bunker.
Indeed, an underground shelter was constructed in 1961, a year marked by widespread fear of atomic assaults, indicating that the construction of such shelters was not unusual. It seems that the house’s former owner found it but then “buried” it once more.
Sims was able to locate home designs by looking into the municipality. You can see it’s rather spacious once inside, despite the door’s diminutive size. The shelter’s base is composed of a glass dome and concrete.
With roughly eighteen ballistic missiles in the vicinity, John’s neighborhood was among those most vulnerable to the nuclear danger at the time. His objective was to rebuild the shelter according to plan, even though he did not discover any abandoned relics.
