While there are some truly horrific stories about employees from Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-A, one person shared a frightening story about their work at a Goodwill that has people talking. Since its initial release on the internet at the end of August 2020, the content has gradually gained popularity and has received more than 81,000 upvotes on the social media platform.The employee disclosed, “We don’t clean anything that we sell at Goodwill, and we get some really gross stuff that touches everything else.” “Therefore, wash it well the next time you buy something from Goodwill.”

This account was verified by another ex-employee, who said, “I used to work at Goodwill, you are 200% correct.”

“Even before COVID, I’d always feel so gross after leaving there, I’d wash my hands immediately,” a worried customer responded.

But this revelation did not come as a complete surprise to readers.

“I apologize for spoiling everyone’s day, but I recently discovered some adorable yoga pants at a thrift store. however, the crotch was crusty,” someone commented.

Someone else commented, “Oh my god! I was reminded by you! Why? I assumed that everything had already been cleaned. tried on pants once. That’s when I discovered the owner DID NOT WEAR UNDERWEAR! It was repulsive. They either needed to see a doctor or they wore the pants nonstop for a week.

Another shared their approach to handling purchases from Goodwill.

“Goodwill? Before wearing anything that I purchase, I always give it a wash. People and warehouses are unfriendly. In this sense, goodwill is just the norm.”

Someone else proposed taking it a step further.
