AWKWARD-LANDER After a bullmastiff viciously attacked a security guard on the set of the popular television series Outlander, the guard underwent surgery to repair a torn eyelid.

The victim described how the dog, having been left at a filming location, leaped at him.

On the set of the television series Outlander, a crazy dog bit a security guy in the face.

After the dog, named Tony, was abandoned at a filming location and tethered to a pole, the injured victim described to the judge how it leaped at him.

He said, “I looked up and there was something flapping in my eye,” describing the events that followed. Then, Mr. Gerrard rolled up his sleeves to reveal to the jurors further wounds he had sustained while fending off the beast.

The show’s set rigger, Dillimore, 49, left Tony on location in the east part of the city and drove back to his Stirling accommodations for the evening, according to evidence presented at the Glasgow Sheriff Court trial.

The site manager for the fantasy drama called and asked him to come get his pet.

However, the stray dog later sprang at Mr. Gerrard, biting him on both the face and body.

Upon hearing about the mauling from Mr. Gerrard the following day, Dillimore attempted to place the blame on the victim.

“That’s impossible, you must have kicked the dog,” he remarked.

The dog was merely having fun. It would cause greater harm if he truly had feelings for you.

Dillimore was confronted by prosecutor Mark Allan, who charged him with abandoning the dog.

He went on to say that as the pet’s owner, he was to blame for the bite attack.

However, Dillimore maintained that Tony was not his property at the time of the assault because he had given him away to a different security officer.

“That has nothing to do with me,” he remarked. I found the dog a home, not left him behind. I handed the puppy away to someone who assured me he could take care of it.

He went on to say he had no idea where the hound was at this point.

Furthermore, Dillimore said that lies were being told in an attempt to sue him for defamation.

John Booth, a props guy, told the court that the beast bit him earlier when they were filming in Hunterston, Ayrshire. However, that accusation was dropped.

On June 11, 2015, Dillimore, a resident of Hartford, Cheshire, was found guilty of the attack.

Next month, he will be sentenced.

Starring Dumfries native Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, the critically acclaimed time travel series has begun filming sequences in Edinburgh for its upcoming third season. September is when it is scheduled to debut.
