I’m going to talk about something that happened to me recently that has left me in need of help.

Let me tell you about my background. My grandparents raised my twin sister and me. They have both died now. We never had any other close relatives, so we always relied on each other for support and company.

My twin sister had posted pictures with a man I had never seen or heard of before, which I thought was strange when I found her private social media profile a few days ago. It looked like it wasn’t a friend or coworker at first. The way they looked at each other told me otherwise.

I told my sister the truth about it, and after some hesitation, she said it: she’s been keeping her husband from me the whole time. I didn’t know that my twin sister has been married for two years.

Still, the reason she kept this a secret was even stranger.

She said she’s always been self-conscious about how she looks in comparison to me. Even though we are twins, we are not exactly the same, and she has been jealous of my looks for years. It got even worse because she knows I’ve been dating a lot, which made her feelings even stronger.

I was shocked. How was it that she kept such an important part of her life from me for so long?

Right now I’m at a moment of choice. I want to make things right with my sister again, but I don’t know how to begin. Insecurities that my sister has had for years are really bothering me. How do I even start to help her?
