In her letter, 34-year-old Ava told us a story that really blew our minds. A very unusual thing for men was found in her husband’s things by the woman. They were two menstrual pads. Of course, Ava was shocked by this discovery and told her husband about it, but she had no idea what the real truth was behind this hygiene product that seemed so harmless.
Ava decided to do her husband a favor and unpacked his bag when he got back from this business trip.
“My husband and I have been happily married for over 10 years now,” the woman began her letter. There was never a time in our marriage when I didn’t trust him or when he thought I was lying or cheating on him. Our relationship has always been very clear; we built it on trust and respect for each other. I really loved this man, and I still do. But something that happened in our family recently made me want to kick him out of our house and make him forget how to get back.
“My husband works a lot,” Ava says next in her story. He really is a workaholic; he lives at his office and only comes home for dinner and that night. Because of this, I always missed him so much, but I got used to his focus on his career and his desire to move up in his field. Not long ago, he went on a lot of business trips, and all of them were for their new, very big business project.
He got back from one of these business trips two weeks ago. He came inside, kissed me, and put his bag near the front door. That day was his day off, and he was just about to unpack when his office called him with an important message. His excuse was that something important had to come up, but he would be back soon. He then hurried to the office. I chose to open his suitcase instead of him. And I swear, I was shocked by what I saw!”
The woman found something shocking in her husband’s things.
Another part of Ava’s story says, “There were two used menstrual pads tucked away between my husband’s dirty shirts.” I found them by accident while sorting his clothes to get rid of the dirty ones before I did the laundry. It’s not enough to say that I was shocked. Even though I had a strong feeling right away that this wasn’t an accident, I couldn’t come up with a good reason for it.
Ava goes on, “When my husband got home in about two hours, he asked me right away where his suitcase was.” I told him I had unpacked it and washed his dirty clothes already. Like there was nothing to hide, he pretended to be calm about what was going on.
After that, I told him about the menstrual pads I had found. When I asked him about these, he went pale for a moment. But he quickly calmed down and told me that he was saving them for a coworker who was on a business trip with him and was having her period. He just wanted to be supportive and open-minded about periods.
“I don’t know why, but I didn’t believe a word of it,” Ava said. I still had a strong feeling that something was very wrong, but I couldn’t figure out what it was, so I decided to put this subject on hold for a while.
After the incident with the pads, another surprise came to light.
Ava continues, “It’s been a week since this sad accident, and I just found out something else shocking.” This time, my husband was in a hurry to get to work in the morning and forgot to bring his phone with him. He didn’t hear the alarm because he slept in, so he was in a hurry and left the phone on the coffee table in our living room. I saw him on his phone as I walked by this table. In a text message from “Anna Work,” someone asked, “Does our plan with the plumber go down the drain?”
The woman wrote, “This message seemed strange to me. What was the point? Who was the plumber? I wasn’t angry when my husband came home to answer the phone; I chose to have a serious talk with him when he got home from work that night.
The woman made it clear that she wanted an explanation when Ava’s husband got home. He wouldn’t say anything, though. He then dropped his phone, and Ava opened the messages with “Anna Work” and began reading them all out loud.
The woman finally learned what her husband had planned.
Ava slowly learned from reading the messages that her husband and his coworker were having an affair. According to the woman, “as I read and learned that he had been cheating, I felt relieved because yes, I had suspected him of cheating and now everything was clear.”
The most disgusting truth was still to come, though. After this, Ava says, “These menstrual pads I found in his suitcase did belong to his coworker.” These were part of their sick plan, so she gave them to him. They got rid of me for a day or two when they needed a place to have their romantic meetings and I was always at home.
He was given these pads and told to flush them down the toilet. After that, it would get clogged. My husband would say that I washed the pads down the toilet, and then he would tell me to go live with my parents for a few days while he called a plumber to fix our toilet.
Ava also said, “The plan was kind of brilliant.” They would play on my guilt, expecting me to feel bad about flushing the pad down the toilet. Then they would get rid of me for a day or two without doing anything painful.
I now threw my husband out of the house. He keeps calling me and pleading with me not to leave him. However, this dirty plot makes me so sick that I both love and hate him at the same time.
