It’s good for the environment and your gas mileage to share rides with friends. On the other hand, it can make you a little jealous if you start to notice odd things going on between your partner and your friend. Like one woman who wondered if comments that seemed harmless could be hiding something else.

We heard from her.

“I often drive to work in the same direction as my friend Emmie, who lives close by.” When I got sick and couldn’t drive her anymore, my husband began taking her on rides.

There have been some strange things going on lately. They began sending each other secret messages that I don’t get. I found out what they were talking about one time, and it was awful. When she said, “The snack is becoming my favorite part of the day,” he said, “Always open to snack suggestions.”

That night, I asked him what snacks they were talking about, but he had no idea what I meant. I don’t trust them because they laugh when they talk like that. I feel like he’s not being honest with me.
