People who didn’t know who their spouse really was.

It’s easy to think that the person we’re dating is the most important person in our lives, but one surprise can blow our minds and make us question our whole life together. Through the stories we’re sharing today, people found out shocking and scary things about their partners that made them feel like they had been living with a stranger the whole time.

“My 18-year-old wife kissed me and left for work.” That day, I was sick and staying home when all of a sudden, the doorbell rang. At my door, there was a woman dressed exactly like my wife. She said she was married to the man my wife had been seeing for three years. She showed me bill receipts from shopping. This is how she found out about the affair. The clothes and jewelry her husband bought for my wife were the same ones he bought for his own wife. My whole world fell apart, and I was crushed. I never thought she would do something like this. People always told me that she was dressing fancier lately because she got a raise. “Ever since, we’re no longer married.”

I found a letter from a bank we don’t use that confirmed she had opened an account with a lot of the family money. from docentmark on Reddit

I learned that the man I had been seeing for two years had been using LGBTQ dating apps the whole time we were together. He called me his “GF who doesn’t know” It hurt so much. From Reddit user theworldisonfire70:

He told everyone he was trans after being with her for 18 years and having two kids. In other words, I found it. There was a lot going on. It makes me so happy to be living alone and going through the divorce process. From yantzpants on Reddit

She did not have cancer after all. It was all an act to get everyone, including me, to feel sorry for her. Thank goodness I learned my lesson before the wedding. Through Jimmy_McAltPants on Reddit

For years, she stole $500 a month from me while I was having a hard time paying our bills. I started to think something was wrong when expensive packages kept showing up at the house even though she didn’t have a job. I had trouble remembering things for a while because of a TBI, but I finally saw that the math wasn’t adding up. Author: CharlizardPaints • Reddit
