For some people, getting scared doesn’t mean watching scary movies or reading scary books; they’ve had their own truly scary experiences. Some of these strange events can be explained, but others will make you wonder if you’re really living in the real world. One thing is for sure: the true stories we’ve chosen for you today will stay with you for months.
I remember having my first child 17 years ago and lying in the hospital room with her in her crib next to me that night. So I could get some rest, the nurse told them they could take the baby to the nursery for a while. I told them no, because I want my baby to be close to me so I can stare at her. I was really tired the next night, so I asked the nurse to take the baby to the nursery for a few hours. The nurse turned pale and told her, “Your baby should stay in the room with you.” The baby’s room is empty. No one would ever take your child away from you!” Author: Trailerparkqueen • Reddit
In my dream, my husband and I had three kids. Before they slowly disappeared like Thanos, it was sweet and happy. I remember feeling “off” when I woke up.
We found out the next week that I was going to have triplets. I lost one of them, the second one suddenly stopped growing, and the third one had to be taken out because it was too small and could have killed me. It was the scariest thing I’ve ever done. From prznmike on Reddit
I was in London on the Tube, and there was a guy sitting next to me who was wearing a very strange and bright T-shirt. I looked at him and his shirt the whole time, which is what you do on the Tube. The guy in the T-shirt stayed on the train after I got off. The same guy passed me on the opposite escalator as I went up to street level. He was coming down from the street. He couldn’t have been there—I left him on the train. It really scared me. Abervilla on Reddit
In the summer of 2008 or 2009, I slept over at a friend’s house. My friend lived in a ranch-style home with a big patio around the pool in the back. Long sliding glass doors made the living room open to the patio. The living room went all the way along the pool. We hung out and watched movies in there until his parents told us it was late and time to go to bed. My friend reached over to turn off the lights as we were leaving the room. When the reflections from the sliding glass doors were gone, we saw a man standing on the patio across the pool and staring at us. We were scared, screamed, and ran to his parents. They went back into the living room to check, but the man was already gone. I don’t know how long he stood there and watched us, but it gave me nightmares for a long time afterward.
