I found several key cards in his pocket one day while putting his clothes in the washer. That’s when I realized the terrible truth. He had been planting them to get everything for himself by making fake proof of cheating.
On the last day of middle school, a friend and I agreed to wear tuxedos. I didn’t know he wasn’t serious because I was young and naive. I talked my mom into renting me a tux, and I paid for it over a few weeks.
