A few people are lucky enough to have great roommates who are fun and easygoing. It’s too bad that not everyone is so lucky. This story is about someone telling their worst nightmare to a housemate.

“My roommate of two years just disappeared. She was a happy and smart girl. Even her parents gave up hope after the police searched. After 5 years, I was getting her room ready to sell the house. I found a hole in the wall while moving the dresser.

It scared me when I put my hand down and saw a bunch of notes that said: “If I ever go missing, you need to search for me right away at Jake’s cabin in the mountains”.

Jake was the guy she was seeing. Even though he was angry, she stayed with him because she loved him so much. I thought I remembered her saying something about how possessive and unpredictable he could be, but I wasn’t sure what it meant at the time.

We told the police, but it was impossible to find Jake. He had left for Europe the last time anyone knew, and it had been too long since she was seen.

I still get scared when I think about that letter.”
