A 60-year-old woman wrote a letter about a very sad event that happened in her family. She said that her daughter-in-law was always making fun of her, making her feel bad, and making fun of her. But the woman who was hurt got back at her DIL in the most beautiful and complicated way possible and taught her an important lesson about life.
The woman had a happy family until the girlfriend of her son joined the group.
Another woman, Andrea, who is 60 years old, wrote us an emotional letter in which she told us her story, which sounds like it could be the plot of a drama movie. Alex, her husband, died three years ago, leaving her without a husband. Robert is her 30-year-old son. He is a very successful young man who probably has everything that money could buy: a fancy car, a brand-new house, and a consistently good income.
Andrea told Robert that he got rich by working hard, and she was really worried that he wouldn’t have time to start a family because he would be so busy with work. Robert did, however, date a woman named Jessica, who was 28 years old.
Andie wrote, “They had been dating for a year before Robert finally decided to put me in touch with Jessica.” He was also going to ask me to bless him and Jessica as a mother because they were engaged. I was obviously upset that they chose to get married, and I hadn’t even had a chance to meet her before my son asked her to marry him. I didn’t say anything because I thought Robert was an old boy who knew what he was doing.
Andrea wasn’t sure what would happen at their first meeting. Jessica walked into their house and started bragging about how smart, literate, and “noble” she was. Jessica was putting on the best show possible, but Andrea was mostly quiet the whole time. Her heart was beating like crazy. “I knew that my son’s choice was very wrong,” she wrote.
Andrea’s worst nightmare seemed to be Jessica.
Andrea wrote, “It was clear that this young woman didn’t love my son at all.” She loved his money and the nice things he was buying with it. She frowned and said, “You must be kidding, Andrea!” when I asked her if she wanted children with Robert. “Kids will ruin my plans to enjoy life!”
Andrea was on the fence a lot, but she never told Robert that his future wife’s behavior was rude. In addition, Jessica was very nice to Robert and always polite and friendly with Andrea when he was around.
Andrea thought Robert should be able to understand how wrong he was when he chose Jessica as his wife. She didn’t want to force him to make this choice; she wanted him to see for himself, even if it cost him a lot.
Andrea wasn’t happy at all that Robert’s wedding was coming up.
Andrea wrote, “So, their wedding was coming up in a week, and Jessica and I had a really tough talk.” At our agreed upon time, the courier brought her dress to my house, and she came with Robert to pick it up. It was her third dress already; she was going to wear three different ones to the wedding.
Andrea had just asked Jessica if she really needed to change three dresses at a wedding, especially since neither Jessica nor her parents had paid for the wedding. Robert paid for everything.
After that, Jessica got mad. She began to insult Andrea by hissing at her and calling her names when Robert went to the bathroom. Andrea remembered, “She told me I wasn’t smart and that I didn’t get how cool it is to have three wedding dresses.” She said mean things about me and said I was jealous. Plus, she told me I shouldn’t go to their wedding because she wants to cut ties with me and will also get Robert to do the same. Is it because she feels bad about me? A successful man like Robert should feel bad about having a “shallow” mother?
On the wedding day, Andrea got back at them.
Even though Jessica said mean things, Andrea still went to her son’s wedding. She didn’t go there to be happy for her son; she went there to teach a mean woman a good lesson. “I was going to give a speech, and after my speech, Jessica was going to be completely broken,” she wrote. If she still really cared about my son, she would either take this bitter pill and stay with him. In other words, this was also a check-up for my DIL.
Andie got a word as the mother of the groom. She was being watched because everyone thought she was going to say something to her son and sister-in-law. She did say something that caused a stir at the wedding site.
“Today, my son is getting married,” she said into the mic. I should have told him I was letting him go as a mom. But as his boss, I’m telling him he’s fired. I don’t agree with his choice because his now-wife made fun of me a lot. I’ll let them start over with a new job and a new life. We’ll get through this together.
No one spoke. After that, Jessica yelled and asked Robert a lot of questions. Robert told her that he would tell her everything after the wedding. He then told her that his mom was the chairperson of his company. Alex, his dad, used to run the business, but after he died, Andrea took over. In fact, she was her son’s direct boss.
She got what she deserved and learned a very important lesson.
Andrea said that Robert was really shocked when she said Jessica made fun of her. After that, he asked Jessica if this was true, but she replied that it wasn’t. Then she said, “I just can’t believe that someone who can’t read or write and hasn’t had a good education could be the head of a huge trust!” “How is this even possible?”
Robert really didn’t like what she said, so he told her he was canceling the wedding. Of course, Jessica was mad, and that’s when she showed who she really was by making Robert mad too. She was told to leave, though, and Robert even suggested that she call a taxi one last time.
Robert and Andrea are back to living the way they used to and working for the company that Alex owned before he died. Robert is seeing a woman and will tell Andrea about her.
At the end of her letter, the woman said, “I hope I won’t have to teach anyone any more lessons.” I just want my son to be content.
