In her letter, Emma wrote, “I have a happy family: it’s just the three of us—my husband, Jake, 40, and our daughter Hailey, 5. They are the most important people in my life. I’ve always been proud of the close bond I share with Jake. Our marriage seemed to be something others admired, built on trust, with hardly any arguments.
