Usher absolutely dominated that halftime performance with ‘Yeah!’

Usher did not falter in delivering on his promise of a festive Super Bowl halftime show.

With a performance that paid homage to his Las Vegas residency, the Grammy-winning performer began a 13-minute mashup of his classics with “Caught Up.” With scores of dancers, showgirls, and acrobats in tow, the scene could have been called “Cirque de Usher.”

After singing “U Don’t Have to Call” and giving his mother a shout-out, Usher put Alicia Keys in the “Spotlight” and she rolled from “If I Ain’t Got You” to their smash duet “My Boo.”

Usher followed up with “Let It Burn” and “U Got It Bad,” but it wouldn’t be an Usher show without some Atlanta in the mix. One of that city’s most well-known producers, Jermaine Dupri, presented “Confessions.” Usher, drenched in perspiration, removed his shirt for a short while, perhaps much to the surprise of many.

Later on, guitarist H.E.R. joined him. She served as his “Bad Girl,” giving the main act a chance to don his well-known roller skates for a routine that ended with Lil Jon asking, “Turn Down For What?”

That meant, you know, a pop of their popular song “Yeah!” featuring the legendary rhymes of rapper Ludacris.

“I have a lot of things to celebrate. I’m happy with the places I’ve been. I’m honoring those who have inspired me. He declared, “I’m celebrating the music.” “I’m toasting the dance.” I’m honoring the concept of this historic occasion in honor of all the performers who have performed it previously and their ability to unite people worldwide.

During the Las Vegas press conference earlier this week, Usher also discussed those topics.

“I was very conscious of my past, appreciating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and considering our future together,” he remarked.

The celebrity performed a highly regarded month-long residency in Las Vegas.
