My husband says I’m to blame because I told my in-laws the gross truth about him.

A 35-year-old woman is shocked that her husband wants her back after a hard breakup. He didn’t ask her himself; instead, he sent his parents. She was at a crossroads and had to make the hard choice of telling his parents the truth about who their son really was. In a heartfelt letter, she told our readers about her problem and asked for help.

Even though her relationship had a lot of problems a long time ago, Anna stayed committed.

In the beginning of her letter, Anna said, “My husband of 10 years, Nick, has had this woman “friend” who has always made my life uncomfortable.” She never knew when to stop, and when Nick and I started dating, she told everyone I was with him because of his money. Nick makes a lot more money than I do, but he never gives me any. We always split the bills in half and bought food together. I made sure our 5-month-old baby had food and took care of my oldest child from a previous marriage.

“For the past eight years, this “friend” has been rude and spread rumors about other people. When I told Nick about it, he said it was “petty ladies’ business.” He didn’t want to set limits, and I had to tell this woman what was right a few times.

Things were steadily getting worse.

She goes on with her story by saying, “This “friend’s” rumor campaign began all over again not long ago.” Nick and I bought a house. This disgusting woman told everyone that I didn’t put any money into our new house. I had to talk to her right away, and I yelled at her to stop getting involved in our private matters. Nick was angry because the woman called him and said I was rude to her.

“When my husband got home, he was really worried and stressed out.” He wouldn’t answer when I asked him if he was okay. Later that night, after the kids went to bed, I brought him up in conversation. He told me that he had a weak moment with this gossiping “friend,” and now she was pregnant, and he didn’t want to lose his family.

Ana added, “I was speechless. I felt hurt and lied to, and I started to cry.” Nick said he was sorry over and over again and didn’t want his family to be hurt. I did not say anything; I only locked the door to my toddler’s room.

She faced the broken heart with courage, but then a new problem came up.

This is where the problem starts. “The next morning, I asked for some time off from work,” Anna said. After that, I went to my dad’s house with the kids. It made my dad mad that I told him everything. Nick hit me up on the phone when he got home and didn’t find me there. I blocked him, though.
My in-laws showed up at my dad’s house yesterday afternoon. At one point, they begged me to leave and end this “pointless and stupid argument.” That moment, I yelled that they had raised a real monster because I was so upset and shocked. His mother turned pale.

“It shocked his parents because they thought our relationship was just having a rough patch and nothing more.” Their parents always thought that their son was nice to me and that I didn’t know what else I could ask of him.
After that, they asked me to explain. I took a moment to tell them that their son was a liar, a cheater, and someone who made my life unbearable. I told them that he didn’t value his family and that even having a baby didn’t make him stop lying and cheating. His mom looked upset, and his dad left without saying anything. But he called me later and said he would take care of everything.

There are no longer any healthy relationships in the family.

Anna said, “I know that my mother-in-law has heart problems and needs to be kept from hearing any bad news.” I also know that when my husband finds out what my FIL did to me, he will have a terrible time. Since then, my husband has been calling me from different numbers. He blames me for everything and says I shouldn’t have told his parents about his affair. He told them that would end their relationship with him and kill them.

“I feel bad about this, and I think we could have split up without telling his parents anything. This explanation wasn’t necessary.” But I also couldn’t take this anymore, and I had to tell his parents why I would never get back to their son, no matter what. I’m on the edge of my feelings. “What would you do?”
