Things can go wrong in life, and Evie was in one of those situations. Following her miscarriage, she couldn’t stand to see the clothes of her unborn child, so she asked her husband to get rid of them. What happened next was a surprise, and Evie did something unexpected when she was sad. Even though everything worked out in the end, she still remembers everything clearly and wanted to tell us what happened.
Letter from Evie:
“I passed away two weeks before my due date.” I told my husband to get rid of all the baby clothes because they were making me feel bad.
A month later, I saw my sister-in-law’s new baby wearing the onesie I was making for my unborn child.
“At least I wanted my niece to have it,” my husband said. I didn’t say anything or do anything. Later, when everyone was in the living room, I went into the baby’s room quietly, took off her onesie, and went to the closet to get all of my child’s clothes. After carefully wrapping her in a blanket, I left the room.
My mother-in-law called my husband the next day to moan. She told me I was bitter and didn’t have the right to take the baby’s clothes. What I did was “unforgivable” to my husband.
We’re getting along better now that a year has passed since this happened. A few months ago, I had a baby girl. I’m glad my husband didn’t throw away the clothes because my new baby girl is now wearing them.
That being said, I still remember how badly I was treated just for trying to remember my unborn child. Was I wrong?
Yours, Evie”
