Everybody has their own little life hacks. Also, as time goes on, we learn useful skills that help us get out of tough spots. We put these tips together from people who use the Internet. In this crazy world, you never know when they might come in handy.
I live alone and am 26 years old. It was midnight, and I was already in bed when the doorbell rang. A long time went by while I looked for my dressing gown. When I got to the door, I saw that someone was picking the lock. Fear made me freeze because I didn’t know what to do. I quickly went online from my phone and turned on the dog’s barking at full volume. That was a great idea. You won’t believe it, but the possible thieves left right away. Overheard or Idear
I have my own life hack because I don’t smile nearly as much as Wednesday Addams. When I meet someone, I ask them their name right away and don’t just say “hello,” I say “hello, Helen” or “hello, Michael.” People at work then ask me why the security guards and cleaners are always nice to me. © shanghai48 / ADME
If someone you don’t want to see or your mother-in-law shows up out of the blue, go to the bathroom, tear off a piece of toilet paper, wet it with drops of water from your fingers, and use it right away to clean the mirror. You clean the sink, the faucet, and the floor with the same piece of paper, and then you flush this gross piece of paper full of hair and dirt down the toilet. Now your bathroom is spotless and you don’t have to wash any rags. Overheard or Idear
If you think someone is watching you in a meeting or classroom, yawn and then turn around to see if they yawn too. If they do, they’ve been paying close attention to you. Through TrailerParkPrepper on Reddit
People seem less likely to bother you if you’re eating something while walking through bad neighborhoods. This is just my opinion, but it’s worked for me for years. It might have something to do with how calm I seem, but no one has ever yelled at me while I’m eating an apple, banana, or something else. In any case, it’s much safer than messing around with your phone. From Delia_Dunn on Reddit
One thing that keeps my marriage happy is that I never see my partner as a part of me. When my husband charges my phone or takes out the trash in the bathroom, I always thank him and say, “That’s very kind of you.” People do things for their loved ones because it makes them feel good. My husband also sees how hard I work and doesn’t take the things I do for him for granted. · MissB/ADME
