You might think that scary stories only happen in movies, but sometimes things happen in real life that are even more interesting than in movies. Some of these strange events are eventually explained, but many of them remain unsolved, which makes them even stranger. This collection is made up of a bunch of exciting true stories that are sure to get your heart racing.
I was in my third year of medical school when a woman who was laboring came to the floor. Since she wasn’t very far along yet, the nurse gave her a gown and told her to change in the bathroom. We rushed into her room when we heard a scream. When the nurse got there first, she saw a newborn baby with its feet up and head in the toilet. The first thing I saw was the mother walking out of the bathroom with an umbilical cord sticking out of her. The nurse was right behind her, still holding the baby. It was one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen… The baby was fine two hours after birth, so we took them off the floor and put them in the mother-baby unit. From jmihelc2 on Reddit
I gave up my baby for adoption (open adoption; I picked the family myself). Another few years went by, and my sister got pregnant. She gave the baby to the same family. As a result, the kids are growing up together as siblings and blood cousins. (That was more than 20 years ago.) I hate knickknacks (Reddit user)
An 18-year-old daughter comes to the emergency room while she is having a fit. While she is being cared for, her pregnant mother suddenly starts having contractions. Soon, both the mother and the daughter are connected to monitors next to each other. At first, the situation seems ridiculously funny, but the mood changes dramatically when it turns out that the daughter’s fits are caused by the shocking truth: she’s pregnant by the same man as her mother. Welcome to the hospitals in small towns.
My grandfather had six children, and my grandmother had three. First, my grandfather’s brother married his sister. Then, my grandmother’s first cousin married his other sister. Finally, my grandmother’s second cousin married her third cousin. A lot of people got married. There isn’t any incest, but I have a lot of double or triple cousins. From slorpmorp on Reddit
