Kids may feel like getting their parents in trouble is the only thing that matters sometimes. But the guys in today’s mix showed that they can handle anything their kids want to do.
1. When I was little, I didn’t want to walk to kindergarten. And my mom didn’t want to carry me, so she asked me “How does a squirrel jump? And a rabbit? Show me!” I couldn’t just leave this poor woman standing there, who’s never seen a rabbit or a squirrel jump, so I jumped. All the way to the kindergarten…
2. My son wouldn’t eat meat. We went to our relatives and he has a cousin who is the same age there. They cooked chicken nuggets and my son asked, “Is this meat?” His cousin said, “They’re chicken nuggets.” My son thought that they weren’t meat. Now, he eats ground beef with pasta, dumplings, and other things that do have meat in them. I just give these foods different names and don’t tell him there’s meat in them.
3. When my son doesn’t want to leave the playground, I tell him I forgot where we left the car and I need someone to find it before someone takes it.
4. When my kids didn’t want to walk holding my hand, I told them I was afraid I would slip and fall. After that, they always held my hand and never ran anywhere.
5. When punishing your kids, don’t take away their electronics. Take away their chargers and watch the fear in their eyes as they use it less and less while the battery slowly dies.
