There is always a chance of being in danger, whether it’s from natural disasters or from people in our own homes. The stories in this article are true accounts of brave people who faced dangerous situations in their lives. Even though these things were very scary, they taught us important lessons about how to value life.
1. I had to get food at 2 a.m. There was the cashier and another man who looked at her a lot. I quickly paid and left.
I heard steps behind me on my way home. When I turned around, that man was there. “Why so fast, miss?” he asked. Even though I moved quickly, he was still behind me. I heard a scream all of a sudden. I was shocked to see the cashier grab the guy’s hand and tell him to stop when I turned around. The man ran away because he was scared.
The cashier made sure I was okay and then told me something scary: this same guy had followed another girl at night and robbed her. He knew he had to help when he saw him in the store. I never went out alone at night again, not even for a quick trip to the store. It taught me a very important lesson.
2. I was taking it easy in a lake when I saw an alligator nearby. It didn’t chase me; it just stuck its head out of the water about 15 meters away. My heart was beating fast. There was no greater fear in my life than when I had to get out of the water quickly and quietly. Author: Purrrple_Pepper | Reddit
When Mom was young, there was a shape that looked like a head looking in her bedroom window every night. Every day she was more and more scared.
She finally got the nerve to find out what it was one night. She jumped up and ran across the room to turn on the light as fast as she could. As soon as she got close to the light, the shape moved quickly and disappeared. It never happened again.
3. In Olympic National Park, I was taking a long exposure picture of the sky at night when I heard something moving to my right. When the picture was done (the most important thing), I pointed my flashlight at the noise and saw two bright eyes staring back at me. There wasn’t enough time for me to stay and find out what they were to. From thehangryhippo on Reddit
4. On Craigslist, someone was giving away a small fridge for free. I drove there; it was in the middle of a thick forest and no one else was there. I was already scared when I looked up and saw someone shut the curtains. With an arrow, there was a sign that said “go around back.” I gave up because I didn’t really need a used mini fridge. © Reddit posts about memes
5. One night, I left my cabin window open and a wood box full of firewood outside. Around 3 a.m., a mountain lion was sitting there, staring at me through the screen from about 2 feet away and yelling at me. That is certain to wake you up. People who have heard that sound know what it is. Not a known author/Reddit
6. While my friend and I were camping on the AT, we heard a real pack of dogs barking and howling. They were getting near. My friend and I were freaking out as they got closer. We were about 18 years old at the time.
A farmer nearby had lost one of his farm dogs and had called the others out to help him find it. We were scared. Not a known author/Reddit
