A pregnant horse that was stuck in a deep hole in the snow in Inner Mongolia, China, was saved by a man who went above and beyond.
When he arrived, the horse was dead and had lost all will to get itself out.
After calling his friends, the Hulunbuir-based rescuer managed to lift the horse out of the hole using a loader attached to a rope.
The successful rescue is captured in a touching video, and the horse appears to have recovered fully from the ordeal.
According to reports from the Good Samaritans, the horse gave them a gesture that appeared to be an expression of gratitude before it left the scene.
The video was shot on January 3rd, and Mr. Wang waved to the animal as it left.
