Barbra Streisand, a prominent figure in Hollywood, recently took a bold stance in her online support of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whom she described as a target of a conservative scheme aimed at undermining her professional reputation by exploiting her personal life.
In a post on X, the renowned singer and actress asserted that Willis is merely seeking to maintain a private relationship with Nathan Wade, the subordinate prosecutor she appointed for the investigation into Trump and 18 co-defendants charged with racketeering concerning the 2020 election results in Georgia. “It is absurd that Republicans are calling for Fani Willis to be dismissed. For what reason? Because they believe a woman cannot balance a private life with her professional duties? Men do this routinely! How ludicrous is that?” Streisand remarked on Monday.
“Trump and his associates are targeting DA Fani Willis, who is prosecuting him for his efforts to overturn the voters’ decision in Georgia. Her personal relationship with one of the prosecutors is irrelevant to the case’s facts and Trump’s blatant attempts to coerce the Secretary of State into ‘finding’ additional votes for him and presenting false electors to Congress. This is merely another distraction orchestrated by Trump,” she further stated.
